Wilshere and Rosicky to play in Arsenal Under-21s match with Swans

Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky are set to continue building their match fitness in this afternoon’s Arsenal Under 21 match with Swansea City.

Arsene Wenger revealed that the pair had suffered no reaction from playing in the Arsenal Under-21s win over Newcastle United last Friday evening.

The Under-21s require one win from their two remaining games against Swansea City and then West Brom to earn promotion into Division One following their 2-1 victory against league leaders Derby County earlier this week.  Today’s match is being played at Swansea City Under-21s Liberty Stadium training ground, kick-off 1.00pm.

Wenger has also confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla are closing on a return to action. They are likely to return to full training shortly and are undertaking fitness work.

Looking ahead to Sunday’s match Crystal Palace, Wenger confirmed that everyone involved in last Saturday’s game against West Ham should be available.
