Arsenal’s Premier League fixture today with Aston Villa is being dedicated to ‘Arsenal for Everyone’, which aims to promote equality, diversity and football as a comfortable and inclusive environment.
Nigel Mitchell’s half-time pitch-side guest will be big Arsenal supporter Matt Lucas, the star of Little Britain.
February is LGBT History ‘Month of Action, which will include a range of ‘Football v Homophobia’ activities aimed at raising awareness of LGBT issues.
Kick It Out is also undertaking a ‘Season of Action’ campaign for the 2014/15 season.
The aim is to provide a focal point for professional clubs, grassroots teams, community groups and schools to join together and celebrate football’s ability to unite people from all different backgrounds and walks of life.
