Arsenal’s 3rd Round EFL Cup tie with Nottingham Forest will be played at the City Ground on Tuesday 20 September 2016, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

It will be the Gunners first meeting with Forest since Martin Keown’s first-half goal gave Arsenal a win at the City Ground in January 1999.

Nottingham Forest are currently in 7th position in the Championship table following their 3-1 home win over Leeds United yesterday.

Arsenal’s ticket allocation for the match has not yet been confirmed.

The Gunners  last won the competition in 1993, with a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Their last appearance in the final was in 2011 when they lost 2-1 to Birmingham City.

Arsenal were knocked out of last year’s competition 3-0 in the 4th Round by Sheffield Wednesday

The final of this season’s competition will take place at Wembley on the 26th February 2017.
