Premier League fixtures for 2016/17 season released

Arsenal will open their 2016/17 Premier League campaign with a home match against Liverpool.

The first games of the season will take place over the weekend of 13-14 August 2016 and is scheduled to finish on 21 May 2017.

Sky and BT Sport have paid £5.136bn  for live TV rights to broadcast matches.

An announcement on the first batch of fixtures to be televised live will be made in early July.

Some matches next season are to be scheduled on Friday nights.
